Stationary Metal Analyzers

Optical emission spectrometry (OES) using arc and spark excitation is the preferred method to determine the chemical composition of metallic samples. This process is widely used in the metal making industries, including primary producers, foundries, die casters and manufacturing. Due to its rapid analysis time and inherent accuracy, Arc/Spark OES systems are most effective in controlling the processing of alloys.

These spectrometers can be used for many aspects of the production cycle including in-coming inspection of materials, metal processing, quality control of semi-finished and finished goods and many other applications where a chemical composition of the metallic material is required.

To meet the different demands for the industry, SPECTRO has developed the arc/spark spectrometers SPECTROMAXx and SPECTROLAB. Both were designed to meet the unique needs of the end user. Each instrument features individual strengths, characterized by fast and precise analysis, plus ease of use and reliability. Innovative technologies, such as the UV-PLUS optical chamber, newly developed analytical methods and algorithms for detecting sample defects, form the basis for the outstanding performance of these instruments.
